FOR SALE by John Hearne WHAT: berlina radiator & window parts Now that the Satta Special is near finished, I feel that I have some useful spares [from a 1955 Super] which of course I did not use. The donor car was stored for 25 years when I repatriated it so has done minimal mileage. I have a radiator [complete] which is in very good order, not having done a great deal of work. I also have a full set of both window winders and door handles and, if I can find it, the retaining nut for the spare wheel. Needless to say none of these were required for my project. It looks if this is the only survivor from the production in Belgium by Imperia. The differences between the Italian and the Belgium models are: other fabric, double belt drive for alternator/water pump as for a TI, large central Alfa Romeo rev. counter, extra instruments. The chassis plate has a "C", as for the Coupé models, and is : AR1900C 07995, engine number is AR1306 07926. All doors, boot and trunk lid have a number stamped, which are the same as the last 3 digits of the chassis number. This was possibly needed to secure the final assembling of the model by Imperia. The restauration was done by its current owner Mr. Christophe Poupart, a coachworker specialised in Alfa Romeo models. The work is photodocumented in every detail.
